YouTube app on iPhone says no connection frequently?

The YouTube app on my iPhone 5S (iOS 10.3) frequently allows me to watch one or two videos before it reads "no connection". When this happens, I either close out the app completely and open it again or turn Wi-Fi off and use LTE instead. Both solutions allow me to continue watching. Is this a problem with my app, phone, or Wi-Fi network? (This only happens to me at home, not at work, where I can watch YouTube videos on my phone with no problem.)

I've had this happen using uverse. The connection has been dropping or running at significantly reduced speed.
