Can I use a prepaid verizon sim on an iphone 5 verizon?
I have an iphone 5 which was registered to verizon. Can I use a prepaid sim on it or just a verizon sim
on it? Will it unlock it?
Verizon doesn't use sim cards.
No you can't use a prepaid sim in it. You can try to unlock it(A sim card won't do this, look online), however verizon uses CDMA. Even though the iphone 5 for verizon has a sim card slot, it's used exclusively for international calls.
- When I unlock my iphone can I use a prepaid SIM card when I travel? I live in Germany and a friend sold me her iphone 3gs when her contract was up. She said the phone would be unlocked after a certain date but it hasn't yet. If i do this myself will I be able to use any SIM card? I have 1and1 for phone service and when I travel to the states I get a prepaid SIM from tmobile. Will these work on the iphone too?
