Car Surveillance System
I want a camera for my car, as lots of them have been getting stolen lately no matter how well they are locked etc.
But I need it so if it gets stolen, I can view the image on my iPhone as if it gets taken they would destroy the camera, so I need it to be able to connect to a laptop or iPhone. Any suggestions?
Realistically, what are you expecting the camera to show you? The car being stolen? The camera would have to be outside the car and visible. The face of the driver? The camera would have to be small enough to be buried in the fascia or door trim, with a cable running to the transmitter (a modified mobile phone). The view might easily be blocked, intentionally or accidentally.
The best prospect would be a small camera mounted unobtrusively in the grille with a forward view of the road. You will still need a transmitter and an app to receive the streamed images. This is not really a DIY exercise unless you are familiar with all the aspects and I suggest you consult a local security expert.
- Problem with my Pioneer stereo system in my car? I have a Pioneer stereo system in my RAV4.It works great with the radio and with CDs, but when I have my iPhone plugged into the auxiliary input, the sound only comes out of the right side. I have replaced the cable several times so I know my cable isn't the problem. I've also tested other devices, so I know it's not just my phone either. Anyone know what the problem is? Any help is appreciated!
