How come my iPhone 5C won't give or receive text messages and calls?

I just got my iPhone 5C unlocked today at a T-mobile store. When I came home, I tried texting and calling my friends but it wouldn't work. When I checked the top left corner of my phone's screen, it said "No service". Will the service come eventually or should I go back to the store and have them fix it?

You will have to contact the T-Mobile provider that did this procedure for you.
I would consider not listening to anyone on here, if you damage the device or "Jailbreak" it to try and fix the solution yourself, T-Mobile will not be liable to reimbursing you or helping you fix your device.
Just take it back and tell them what is going on, maybe they will just give you an iPhone 5c from T-Mobile instead.

Best of luck.

  • Why don't I receive alerts or a notification when I receive a text and I already checked my settings? I adjusted my setting and even put the ringer and notifications on and put the volume and ringer on and I receive no alert, no pop up, alert or notification when someone texts me. Why? This is the iPhone X! I went to the cell phone/ carrier store and they didn't help me. They said to go to the apple store or check the settings. I already adjusted the settings. So what do I do now?
  • Why do I receive text messages and missed calls on my old Iphone. How do I stop this? When someone calls me on my new phone, it shows up as "missed call from ___".It doesn't ring on my on my old phone, but after I answer the call on my new phone, it says missed call on the old phone, if that makes sense. I receive text messages from people on my old iphone as well. I use it as my iPod because it could drain the life out of my new phone, so I don't necessarily want to reset the entire phone. I have cellular data off and I'm with Verizon.

  • When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
