How to get internet outside the USA?
Ill be traveling abroad during the summer to Mexico and will need to have access to internet on my phone. I currently own an iPhone 5s and i'm with Simple Mobile, the sim card and not on contract. Can i just change my provider to T-Monile or are there further steps i need to take?
Either unlock the phone and buy a local SIM, or use Wi-Fi.
You will need to speak to the phone company to set up Roaming. If you don't it will be very expensive, but it can be set up fairly easily if you let them know about it. If you are going to be speaking with people and you can both be connected to broadband at the same time you can use Skype, which will be much cheaper or even free. Another one is Viber, where the call is routed thrrough the net rather than the phone line. Both really simple to download from AppStore.
You can't if you still owe money on your phone. If I own your phone 100 percent then you can ask them to unlock it and by law they have to or they have to tell you why they won't.
Or you can buy a cheap Wal-Mart phone on tmobile network and use that while your abroad.
U prolly already know that tmobile has free roaming across north America. Happy vacationing.

I'm wondering if I can be able to send it to my sister in the Philippines and still work over there if she inserted a Philippines sim card. Or do I have to jailbreak or unlock it?
- Why can't I use internet on my iphone outside of my house? My Wi-Fi works perfectly fine when I'm in my house, but when I'm away from my house i can't go on the internet.
