How to use iPHone on Boost Mobile?
My friend has an iPhone on boost mobile. And I'm interested in getting one for myself. He said he bought an iPhone on craigslist and then took it to boost mobile. But I'm confused as to what iphone to buy. Like does it need to be unlocked? Or does it have to be a certain iPhone?
I believe it will have to be unlocked in order for them to change the data, sms, and calling settings all called APN settings.
If it isn't unlocked I believe the phone would have to be from Sprint because Boost Mobile uses Sprint's network frequency for their service.

Take care in buying a phone online because many of them are stolen phones. If I were you I would ask somebody at Boost Mobile before purchasing anything and be careful of what you are buying.
Your phone should be CDMA and then only you can get the phone flashed to Boost. Your friend got the phone flashed to Boost. By CDMA iPhone, I mean one from Verizon, Sprint, Cricket, C-Spire, Virgin. You can mail this person (arghyle@rocketmail.com) who can help you with the flash.
Boost retailers actually won't flash a iphone. There are phones that can be flashed from Sprint to Boost. But you have to get that list from Boost.
