I have an iPhone 5. How long until that phone will be too old? Will it be able to get IOS 9?
I'm gonna upgrade to the LG G4 in the next couple years. I just wanna know how long my iPhone 5 has until its considered an "old" phone.
Yes it will get iOS 9, but will not get iOS 10, though it would still be able to run most apps for years to come.
Currently the original iPhone & the 3G are considered to be obsolete in the sense that neither gets updates, are sold new & can't run the majority of apps.
- Today my dad upgraded to an iphone 10, and because he has the forever iphone plan he was able to keep his old phone and he gave it to me? I synced all of my apps and contacts from my old phone, a samsung, to the new one, when I texted one of my friends, I found out I was sending messages through my icloud address and I had no service. Is this something I'll have to call my carrier about to switch my number, or can it be done manually and from the phone's settings. If the it's the latter, what steps would I have to take?
- Is it too late to get ios 7 on my iPhone 4s? I'm still on ios 6 and don't want to get 8? I didn't really care for the new look of ios 7 and never updated the software on my iPhone 4s, but now that ios 8 is out, I wish I had updated to 7 while I still could. I really feel like my software is old and outdated, so it would be nice to upgrade. Is there any way to upgrade to 7 now? If not, I'll stay at 6 because I hear ios 8 runs terribly on 4s.
- Is a 6 year old old enough to have her own phone? I have a bunch of old iPhones (6,7,8) saved up and I'm thinking of putting her into the family plan. What do you think of a 6 year old having a smartphone?
- If I lost my phone in the water at the beach, what are the chances it will wash up on shore and how long until it did so? Was surfing this morning and had my Iphone X in this new waterproof bag i was trying out and it snapped off my neck and i lost it. Not expecting to see it again, but what are the chances it will wash up to shore and how long until it would do so? Happened this morning 8:00am in oceanside CA if this info effects the tide or current at all.
