I have this cable and I'm not sure what it is for. What is it?

Ok. So this cable has what I believe is an AV input. There are3 inputs. Red, white, and yellow. An AV cable does fit into the input. Then, on the other end, there are 2 of what I think are outputs. One is black and the other is yellow. They look just like headphone jacks. They even fit into my iPhone headphone plug. The yellow side has a single black ring around it. The black side has 2 black rings on the end. Any help would be appreciated.

What you have is an A/V adapter cable. These are common with digital cameras in particular for video playback. The black 1/8" end is indeed stereo audio, and the yellow is for the video feed.

You have an AV connecting cable that was used with some device having stereo audio (red, white) and composite video (yellow). Being just a cable, either end could be the input and the other end would then be the output.

  • This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone? I have a life proof case and I took it under water. I noticed some water inside the case so I took it off and saw that there was water on the outside of the phone. Ever since then a note pops up every 15-30 seconds saying "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this phone". What should I do? Is there a way to fix it? My phone is virtually unusable since this annoying message keeps popping up. Any help would be appreciated.
  • This cable is not recommended for this iPhone and may not be reliable? I recently bought a new but un-Apple-certified lightning cord for my iPhone 5c, but this error message has started popping up after about using it about 5 times. Now, my phone is completely dead, and I have no money to buy a new cable, no cable that will charge my phone, and a dead phone. I'm completely desperate for help here, since, like a cliche white girl, my phone is my life.
  • This cable is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone? I have had this message before, but my phone was plugged in. This time I was at a concert wearing a bag that was loose on my body and my phone was in it. It could be easily taken out without me noticing. I took it out and the message appeared. Is it possible that someone plugged something in to my phone and put a virus or something on it? Or am I just being paranoid?
  • I wanna play cod ghost online but not sure if i have enough internet? I live in the middle of no where so i have a satellite internet (hughesnet) which is way to slow for online games. But i was wondering if i can use my iphones personal hotspot but i only have 6 gigabytes a month. I could probably use 2 gigabytes of it to play cod ghost online. How much does cod ghost use of internet data? How long would 2 gigabytes take to get used up by playing in online matches?
