IPhone 4S water damage - 1

I went to a water park with a friend, and going home realizing that my phone is with the wet clothes. I tried sucking out the water inside, I tried hair dryer and i went to a service centre offering to fix it for a high price. Is there any other way to fix my phone myself?

How long has it been since it got wet? If it has been a night or day this miggt not work. But what I do is get a bucket/bowl of uncooked rice and put my 4S in side of the rice. Then i seal the container and let it sit. The rice asorbs all of the water it can get to

It probably won't work right even after doing all of the home remedies. You will either need a new phone unless it can be professionally repaired

  • My iPhone 4 suffered heavy water damage, will it be okay? I went in the pool with it not realizing it was in my pocket. I was in the pool for about 5-10 minutes before I realized it was in my pocket. It was on when I went in the pool but was off when I got out. I now have it sitting in a bowl of rice and I plan on leaving it in there for a week, changing the rice it's in every 24 hours. Does anyone have any insight on this, like if there's any hope of it being okay or is it done for?
  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
