Is it worth it to switch from an Android to an iPhone 5s?

I want to switch to an iPhone 5s but I don't know if it'll be the best decision. I've had Blackberry phones and currently have an HTC but I've been wanting to switch to an iPhone for a while. I saw the new iPhone 5s phones and I love them but I want to know if it'll be a good switch.

*I'm hoping for answers from people who've switched from an Android to an iPhone but any answers will help me with my decision! I'm just so indecisive!*

If you want to switch and you love the phones, why not? The best decision is to get a phone that you will want to use.

My girlfriend switched from an Android to an iOS phone, and she's happy - she says the iOS one is much more simple and easy to use for her.

IOS is more for people who aren't tech savy and BB and Android is more for the experienced users.

Iphone has the best apps and security (no virus checker neededed like other phones have). It has imessage, siri, facetime, fingerprint access, burst mode and slo-mo camera, free radio, airdrop, call blocking, etc.
If you haven't seen the slow-mo video yet on 5S, go to youtube and check out what people are uploading. It's cool stuff.

  • Will I lose my number if I switch from Android to an iPhone? For some reason I can't find a straight answer to this question online. Anyone who has made the switch from Android to an iPhone, did you lose your phone number? I think this happened to my mother-in-law. My husband wants to switch our plan and turn in our Androids for iPhones, but I don't want to do that if that means I lose my number. I have had my number for 8 years.
  • Switch chomp sms from android to iphone? I have an android as of now, but I'm getting the iphone tomorrow. I use Chomp SMS and I would like all my messages to transfer over to the iphone Chomp SMS, if this is possible? Can anyone let me know how to do this if it can be done?
  • Should I switch from iPhone to Android? I'm not bored with iOS, I just want to do more things that a PC can do with my phone. I know that Android allows you to do many things and all that. But it's just that I don't know if I can leave iTunes and the App Store. I own many apps like GarageBand and iMovie, and many many other apps that Android doesn't offer. Is it worth it to leave a good ecosystem to be able to do more stuff with your phone? Is google play enough?
