My iPhone 5 won't play music through ANY headphones?

I just got my iPhone yesterday, I haven't dropped it or anything.

Today I wanted to listen to music on it and it played out loud instead of the speakers. I tried 2 other headphone sets to make sure it wasent just the ones i was using.

*I have already tried blowing into the headphone jack to clean it of dust particles.
*I have looked in the headphone jack to see if there was anything in it.
*I tried 2 different pair of headphones.

This is RIDICULOUS. If anyone is having the same problem, or the solution, please feel free to leave a comment.

Its defective

Bring it back to the apple store and tell them it's defective. They will most likely give you a replacement. No worries.

It's really hard to say what it is without being able to see the headphones and the iphone itself but here is what i think.

Have you dropped your iphone at all or had any water come in contact with it?

if not you can try some of these things if either of the above has happened chances are you have done damage.

go to Settings > Music > see if the volume limit is on

also make sure your silencer is off the little switch on the side

if none of the above helped try restoring your phone with itunes you can find an article here about that: http://support.apple.com/...cale=en_US

BE CAREFULL THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR PHONE. Make sure you back up

if that doesn't work you will need to call apple not to worry because you are probabley still under warranty you will need to mail it to them or go to an apple store genius bar.

Apple will tell you its water damage when they know its not. They have been told to do so.someone should sue their pants off.

So I unplugged the headphones and hit play and the music came out of the actual speakers. Then I paused it and plugged the headphones back in. When I hit play it worked. I just don't want to have to do that every time I want to listen to music. Any help is greatly appreciated.
