Problem with Iphone 4s recovery?
You can skip this part, this is is not my main problem. // My dad gave me his old iphone 4s - ios 7 just yesterday (may 29th, 2015) & he has been using it since like 2013. I was so excited when I received it because it was the first iphone I've ever had in my entire life. So fast forward to may 30th, we were at the beach and I left my phone with my mom because I don't want it to get wet. Fast forward, my mom went close to the water and slipped at the big slippy stones under the water with the bag full of phones and bills. Everything inside the bag got soaked and my mom got a big scar on his knee. Okay this is getting longer, I'm going to my main problem.
**MY MAIN PROBLEM**
My phone survived (I think) because the screen still looks clear and when I went to charge it, an itunes logo and a charger thingy (sorry I do not know what's it called) appeared on the screen. So I went to itunes and it said that i need to recover/update my ios to reactivate my phone. But it would all erase the data etc. But that's not actually my problem. Its just I don't want to update it to ios 8.something because I know that it would get slower and my phone is already slow when running as an ios 7.
**MY MAIN QUESTION**
Can I skip recovery on my phone and get back all my data? I have tried recboot but it doesn't work for me. Can I use my phone like back to normal? Please help thank you so much. Just tell me all you know, maybe it could help. Thank you very much.

Added (1). I don't want to get it fixed by local electricians because they want to get paid for like 400 pesos ($20, and yes it's a big deal for me)
So this happened to my phone. I tried recovering it and everything, but the apple logo just kept showing. I plugged it in. I plugged in to the computer and it said i needed to recpver it so i tried. And ir kept saying like error 209 or something we had to get a new phone. Sorry to tell you this but you might need a new phone good thing is you can just tell your mom she has to get you one. Just ease her into feeling guilty about it. Hope this helps!

- Jailbroken iphone stuck in recovery loop? One of my friends at school jailbroke my iphone 3g a long time ago and it was cool until i went to update and restore it. Now its stuck in a endless recovery loop with a screen with a picture of a usb chord below the itunes symbol. I tried going into dfu mode that didn't work. - Iphone will not restore from recovery mode? I tried to restore my iphone via itunes but is now stuck in recovery mode. I press 'Restore' on itunes and it downloads the software (takes about half an hour!) and then nothing happens. There's no error message or anything. I've tried this several times now.
