Why Do People Hate Apple So Much?

If you read many of the comments on any Apple related article or youtube video, the amount of hate is just unbearable. I don't understand why people go out of their way to tear down this great American company. I'm not an Apple fanboy, I don't worship Apple products. But I do use a few of their products like the Mac and iPhone and I think they are fantastic. If it weren't for Apple, we wouldn't have many of the things we have today, like the PC, Smartphones, Tablets, etc. I just think people should be more respectful and appreciative and grow up a little bit.

Umm, yes you are a fanboy.

Well they have good products. It's just the extortionate prices.
In my college it was like a disease, once one person had an iPhone, they all had one.
Apple products are for the vain - there's plenty of other products that do the same thing for half the price.

Respectful and appreciative for a company that charges megabucks for products with lower specs than it's non-apple counterparts? For products which limit the number of things you can do on them?

The only thing I appreciate is that I have a choice to buy better products than apples.

People are tired of overpriced Macs and iPhones/iPods. There are more universal and user-friendly products, especially made by Microsoft, HP, Dell, Linux (emerging), etc. At better prices too.

Other companies created the tablet, smartphone, touch screen, Siri, etc. Apple was known to be "revolutionary", but its products really are just overpriced. People realize that.
