Am I a good writer being only 11?
Most of the time, when something bad happens to you, it's usually something like you get an F in your exam or you get suspended from school for violating its rules, or maybe you accidentally flush your mom's iPhone down the toilet. But of course, when something bad happens to me, it's usually running along the terms of, 'gets kidnapped.'
My life changed on August 20th. It was a cloud free day, with the sun shining freely up in the sky. It was the type where you'd want to go outside and act like a naturally hyper kid that just drank a huge bottle of soda. You know, annoy the neighbors' dog, ring somebody's doorbell and then make a run for it, or just take out a hose and spray some random person with it. (Which, I do not recommend doing, unless you want to get revenge on somebody you hate. I did it to my neighbor- and teacher- Mr. Brown, and it ended up as a sixth grade girl being chased by a drenched man screaming cuss words and tripping on his own feet) But instead of doing those things, I stayed inside the house watching a movie about these teenage girls that have a huge 'problem' about how they lost their hairbrush. It was actually pretty boring, but my mom made me watch it with Jessica so we could 'bond.' Well, Jessica and I bond as well as oil and water (Which for all of you who aren't science nerds, oil and water are two very different substances. Water is known as a "polar" molecule, whereas oil is made out of hydrocarbon chains that… Okay. I'm probably starting to scare you. I'll shut up.)
My mom stayed with us and watched too, and she actually laughed at the pathetic jokes. Since when was saying, "Oh no, Sarah! The brush is "bristling" with aggression because we found it!" funny? Jessica joined in on every joke, her body shaking with laughter. I was the only one trying my hardest not to fall asleep. Really, this isn't helping my view on whether my mom and Jessica are sane people or not. The main character starts talking again. Her voice is hard to follow, because she was a shy, quiet person, and you had to have the ears of a wolf in order to hear her. Jessica spoke up, her voice annoyed. "Arianna, turn up the volume." I scowl at her, but I do as she says, and grab the remote. Don't you all just love your siblings? Without looking at the remote, I press a button in the general area of the one that was supposed to turn up the volume. But instead, my finger finds a different button. The button turns the channel to the previous one. It's a news channel, with some old guy who was talking about a school planning to break the world record of largest pizza. Jessica glares at me, more annoyed than ever. "Thanks a lot. Now we'll miss the best part!" I thought that every part of that movie to her was the best part. "Sorry. It was an accident." To tell you the truth, I have no idea why I'm being nice to her. I'm about to press the recall button when my mom speaks. "Wait, Arianna. Something's on." I place the remote next to me, and then I watch as the old man is replaced with some guy that didn't seem to understand that you shouldn't use a whole bottle of gel in one day. His hair was black and slicked back like one of those old fashioned detectives in the movies. He looked like Dracula, with a sunken in face, cold eyes, and yes. Bright white teeth.
Added (1). Yes, I wrote it when I was eleven. I'm 14 now, and this was the last thing I wrote.
Its not that bad… There are a few things that need to be developed but that will come in time. Start small and work up. At the moment its not bad but given how old you are its excellent.
This… I'm impressed. You're only 11 years old?
Very impressive for an 11 year old. Keep up the good work.
Your work as a eleven-year-old is quite good for that age. I'm certain that you'd be able to write something substantially better now that you're 14. Yet, there are certainly some things that you need to work on, such as your grammar. Regardless, there's a very strong narrating voice throughout the piece, which is definitely a sign of skill. Good job!
- Why does my iPhone 6 (16 GB) show that 11 gigabytes are taken up, when only about a gigabyte of my storage is actually being used? Please tell me, I can barely do anything on my phone with this! And please tell me if there's a way to fix it!
- Why do i look good in only some pictures? So i have an iphone, and i look good in some pictures and bad in some pictures. Some of the time my face looks asymmetrical on the front camera and other times my face looks symmetrical.Same on the back camera… Sometimes i look good and other times i look bad. Why is this? Is the front camera, or back camera more accurate?
- Penis is longer than my iphone 4? Im only 13? Is that good? My penis is longer than my phone when erect. I'm 13. It reaches up to the start of the head, and the rest is longer than the phone. Is it normal? Is it too big for my age? Please don't make fun! I don't know about the girth tho!
- My iPhone only turns on via Redsn0w after being Jailbroken? I jailbroke my iphone and had a bit of a hard time, but I ended up getting it done. After Jailbreak was done it got stuck on the apple logo so I used Redsn0w to turn it back on. Ever since then everytime it dies/turns off, or reboots, it won't turn on by itself. I have to plug it in to the computer, pull up redsn0w and "Just boot"… How can I fix it so it'll turn on normally again?!
