Best 5.1 Surround Sound System?
Budget around 500-700 bucks.
I would prefer if it had iPhone/iPod compatibility. I also prefer well-known models.
You have some good choices that you can make in that price range.
One option is that, at this time, there's a great deal on a loaded home theater audio receiver from Pioneer, the 1022K, for $250 on Amazon and Newegg. While it's a 7.1 model, it's other capabilities are plentiful, and should be able to do all that you want. Even the entry model from Pioneer is selling for $249 on Amazon right now, so for 99 cents more, you get the loaded 1022.
You can get the excellent Polk 6750 5.1 speaker set for $170 from Newegg. Add a pair of Polk R150s for $80, and you'd have a well loaded 7.1 system for bang on $500. If you were to get a pair of Polk's Monitor 45Bs for $170 instead of the 150s, your total would still be $590.
- Would and Iphone vga adapter to hdmi work for surround sound? I have a connector for my iphone that connects from the charger port to hdmi, would this work to play audio to my surround sound speakers or would I have to get an Aux cord adapter?
- Where do I rent a surround system for a wedding? I'm getting married at Ashton Villa in August. I'm running low on my deadlines. I need to pick a CHEAP but good surround system that plays off of an iphone or ipod. Any suggestions?
- What's the best surround sound system for music? I'm tired of having iHomes that break and/or have horrible quality, so I was just going to get a surround sound system that i can use for my iPhone. What are some good surround sound systems for mostly music and somewhat movies?
- What's a good sound stereo system? I'm looking for a sound system that consists of maybe 4 or 5 speakers and a sub woofer. I want one that you can plug into the wall for power and plug my iPhone into it. Where can I find something like this?
