Best phone plan to use while in Japan, already have (US) phone?
I already own a Straight Talk operated
iPhone that I planned to bring with me on my month-long trip to Japan. I know that I'm going to rely on it for directions, Google, calling, etc.HOWEVER, Straight Talk s international service plan does NOT include Japan.
That s a problem.
I have done a little bit of research on mobile Wi-Fi hotspot devices, international SIM cards, etc, but would appreciate advice with this dilemma.
You might want to buy a prepaid card in Japan.

- Will my iPhone work in US while here from Okinawa, Japan? I'm in the US for several weeks. My iPhone is not working. I have it subscribed to service in Okinawa Japan. - Use of iPad, if i already have an iPhone? I just want to know, if i have a iPhone, what's the use of buying an iPad. I saw most of my colleagues have both iPhone and iPad.
- If you buy an iPhone in America, can you use it to get service in Japan? And vice versa? I'm moving to Japan and i'm wondering if i should wait to go there to buy an iphone 5, but then they might not let me trade in my iphone 4 which is from America.
- If I already have a data plan for tmobile, when I buy my iphone do I need to buy another? When I go to order it online, its forcing me to pick a data plan when I already have one for my current smart phone I want to replace. My family has a unlimited data plan already and I want to switch from my alcatel to a refurbished iphone 5.
