Can I get my money back because tmobile lied about 4G Coverage?

Today I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile phone service. I'm wondering did I make the right decision because even though I was paying a lot for AT&T at least I had 3G Speeds. I'm right in the center of Dallas, TX. Per T-Mobile, I should have excellent coverage. However, My Iphone 4 was activated on the T-Mobile network today and my speeds have consistently dropped into the 2G category.

I called T-Mobile's customer care and they were all clueless. The American Associates acted like they didn't know anything and continuously put me on hold and then would cold transfer me without even telling me to agents who didn't know anything about my issue.

The Foreign Agents all based presumably in India just pretended like they could not hear me and kept saying 'call back" in that robotic tone of voice they have.

So I called a T-Mobile store and spoke to an associate at the store located at 5000 Beltline in Dallas, some guy named Donte, and he was rude and very nonchalant about the matter stating that it was no big deal i was continously seeing the 'E' on my phone which represents Edge (the 2G much slower speed) and that some customers in Dallas could only get 2G speeds.

I feel that T-Mobile mispresented their speeds because they have 4G speeds plastered all over everything and that's why I went to them and now I can only access 2G speeds 90% of the time whereas with AT&T at least I was getting 3G speeds.

Did I make a mistake by trusting T-Mobile?

If you just changed to t-mobile you have a time limit to end the contract, with out a fee. Take it back. And tell them. When you call its a phone tag game. Show up at the store you went to and tell them the issue.

Since they provided false information I believe you are up entitled to a refund. My friends dad had a similar experience on sprint and he complained and got a free iphone 5.It's worth a shot go talk to them.

  • Verizon worker lied to me about purchases I made I recently purchased a new iPhone case and the lady lied and said they no longer make the otterbox case I normally use. So she told me to purchase the symmetry one instead. So I did, well after getting home I realized that she did not give me the box for the phone case. Now, I want to return the case and get a new one. Will Verizon give me a complete refund? Or will I not because of something an employee did there?
  • Tmobile says I have 2G in my area, how reliable is this coverage map? I live in an area where it says I have 2G on the coverage map for Tmobile. The iPhone 5s is $50 on a two year contract. But I want to know if I really will have at least 2G where I live or not? I don't want to buy this phone on contract and then not have any service at all…
