Did I just get scammed on eBay?
Last night I purchased what was described as an Otterbox Armor case for the iPhone 4/4s. What initially caught my eye was the white/blue color, because I thought Otterbox only produced a grey with either neon and blue. I decided to buy it for $46, a little less than 1/2 off the original price ($100). This morning I reviewed the shipping details when I noticed the picture if the phone with the case. The phone had 6 rows of apps. Iphone 5! I went to otterbox's website and found the same exact picture (not being naive, I knew the poster used a picture off the internet).
The seller sold 22 of the cases, and still holds a 100% feedback. After further research I could not find a case with the same colors, only the particular seller's item. I messaged the seller but have not gotten a response. Do you think the phone is a fake? Is $46 a scam right off the bat? I'm definitely going to return it if it's not the descripted product I bought. I'm not an expert on eBay, but I think I got scammed
There's no way to know if it's fake or not until you get the item
You can contact Otterbox's customer service to ask them if they ever produced a case with those colours. It could be a discontinued item or was a limited edition that is no longer on sale, and this seller may have bought them at a bulk discount. A lot of companies sell off limited or discontinued items to wholesalers
If Otterbox confirm that it is not authentic and they never produced those colours, then keep a copy of that email and when you receive your item, file a dispute with Ebay for a counterfeit item and include the email from Otterbox to prove your point. If Ebay agrees then you have to return the item to the seller with delivery confirmation and once the seller receives it back Ebay will refund you
If the item has not been correctly described and you paid by Paypal, you are fully protected - so don't waste your energy getting wound up about it. All will be well - either you get the item you were promised, or you get a refund.
You can always open a dispute with Ebay if the item is not correct.

The shipping does say economy 7-10 days but surely no uk to uk shipping will take that long? Its my third one I've bought due to scammers and still haven't got a phone. Anyone know what could be happening?
