Do i get a macbook air or an iphone?

So for a graduation present my parents are willing to EITHER pay for a cell phone plan for an iphone(4s probably) OR pay half for a macbook air. I'm going to college so i need a laptop but i feel like it would be really useful to have on the go Wi-Fi too. If I get the iphone ill pay for a dell laptop or something less expensive myself. If i get the macbook air ill just stick with my current phone(has no internet/apps or anything fancy lol)

Mac. It will be way more useful. IPhone is not that good of a phone. Just has good looks. If you do get a phone get 4G not 3G. Mac would be most useful for college. Maybe not a MacBook Air get a MacBook Pro it will be more useful for work and what not. Stick with your phone you'll be more happy with your Mac.

Mac definitely it will be much more useful especially in college you can always get an iphone

I would have them pay for half of the mac. If you ever get a job, you can pay for a iPhone yourself, but macbooks are expensive. You'll get more out of the laptop. Dells are cheap, obsessed with my macbook.

  • Which should I get, Apple ipad pro OR Macbook Air? I can't decide which I want, and which is the better option. I like the ipad pro (most likely the 12.9) because of the touch, pencil and the app store. I like the macbook air because its light, still integrates with my iphone, great battery life and the ability to run programs. This device won't be used for anything crazy. I still have a windows laptop thats used quite a bit. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  • Should I get a MacBook Air or an iPhone 5S/5C? I got enough money to buy an iPhone for my birthday, but my mothers says that if I save my money until Christmas, I can get a MacBook Air. My phone is an old samsung galaxy ace, and it has all sorts of problems. It has very limited space and a very short battery life, and is super slow. My family's PC is slow, and is running out of space. I need that space for documents, and to be able to synch my iPad with iTunes. This is a really tough decision, please help!
  • Should I buy the iPhone 5 or Macbook Air? So I'm saving to get one of them but I'm not sure which one! I already have a phone but it's the Nokia C3-00 so it's quite old and I've had it for about 2 1/2 years now. I don't have my own laptop but I share one with my mum and I can use it after school only and I can't take it to school because she uses it for work. (The laptop is an HP laptop not an Apple product.) I also have an iPad Mini.
  • Is the $999 2012 11 Macbook Air good enough for iphone game/app development? I want to make games and apps for iphone and ipod touch so bad but not sure if the specs of the 11" 2012 mba are good enough seeing that the processor is at 1.7 ghz. I plan on upgrading the ram when i buy it to 8gb. Will this mac be good enough to develop games and app for iphone and ipod touch smoothly?
