Do I get the IPhone 4S vs 5C?

I have been given the choice of the two iPhones, but I'm struggling to come to a decision. The iPhone 4S is 200 dollars cheaper outright compared to the iPhone 5C. However, the iPhone 4S probably won't see another iOS update unlike the iPhone 5C. I also like the looks of the 5C, but I was wondering if someone could help me decide. Is to worth the extra $200 dollars, or should I just go cheap?

I would choose iphone 5c. It because of the processor speed and the design.

5C is definitely better hardware but 4S is free on a 2 year contract. You can always use 4S for 2 years and then upgrade later if you can't decide.

I like the 5s as opposed to the 5c but it depends on your budget. The 5c is cheaper.

When its about choice price sometimes doesn't matters. If i have to buy, i definitely would like to buy iphone 5c. This phone is smart look, show stoper. Anyone prefer this to buy. I'm sending you its details-
4-inch IPS Retina display, Apple iOS v7, 1.3 GHz Dual core Apple A6 Processor, 1GB Ram, 8MP camera, 1.2 MP front camera, 16/32GB inbuilt storage, 3G, 100mbps LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Talktime: 8 hours (3G), Standby: 225 hrs (2G)
Apple iPhone 5C features an 8 Mega Pixel iSight camera with Full HD recording capabilities. It also sports a 1.2 Mega pixel Face time HD front camera for self portrait or video calling.
To store all your multimedia files Apple iPhone 5C houses 16GB/32GB of inbuilt memory which is not expandable via Micro SD card.
My preference is to this one.

5c is pretty much same as the 5 - just it's cheaper. I'd rather go for 5c. But it depends on you. You'll be able to use the iOS7 on the 4s and maybe the iOS8 as well.

I was due for 3 upgrades about a week before the iPhone 5c release. I pre-ordered 2 of the 5c's and I picked up a 4S 16g directly from an AT&T store. I like them both. I chose 2 keep the 4S & gave my wife and daughter the 5C's, & they love 'em. We all upgraded from the 4 (8g) I was familiar with the 4, I was comfortable with what I knew. With the Siri upgrade, double the g's from 8 to 16 & a better camera & 4G speed, I'm happy. There are so many cases, iPod docking stations, adapters, and accessories for the 4 /4S it was an easy pick. (Especially b/c the docking station), I can still FaceTime with both my wife and daughter without Wi-Fi. Their 4G LTE is slightly faster than mine, but not by very much. The 5C's screens are more sleek, thinner, colorful and light weight, but feel slightly cheap in the hand. The 4S has a better quality feel to it. I think you can't go wrong either way

Think about what you may need $200 for, and that might help.

I've had my 4s since this April and I probably wouldn't trade it for the 5c just yet. Internal-wise, the 5c is better than the 4s, but it is slightly larger in length. Holding the 4s is alot cuter than the 5c, that's just my experience. The extra space on the 5c can be useful though, and I find myself occasionally complaing about it XD

Some apps are built for a screen size like the 4s, but the iphone 5 has a little bigger screen that some apps will put black borders on the top and bottom. Some apps will just be stretched too.

The back of the 4s is glass, and it's slightly heavier than the 5c a little because of that. If you don't have a case for the 4s, it could break that back easily. There's tons of cases for the 4s out right now, and they're likely to go cheaper because of the new phones.
I love the colors of the 5c, but it's pointless to get one if you plan to get a backing for it maybe. It does not a screen cover anyway, and there's probably going to be some body guard for it that's like a clear sticker.

The 4s has the headphone jack at the top, the 5c has it at the bottom. Sometimes it gets in the way on the 4s, and the placement on the 5c won't bother you. The speakers are probably better too.

Another biggy is that the front-facing camera is 720P on the 5c, but it's like 480p on the 4s. Both have a great back camera and can record at 1080p. However, there's a chance that the microphone on the 5c is better. Color quality might be better on the 5c too, if not the same.

Even if the 4s makes it to ios 8, I'm sure that the 5c will have at least an extra update for it too. If you plan to have your phone for years or until it just dies, I definitely would say to go for what you feel you need the most. Sure the 5c has better specs, but people hyped about the 4s too when it first came out XD. You'll get some attention with a 5c, just pick a color that stands out for you. If this were my first phone, I would probably go with a 5c since a $200 one would be better for the price of a 4s back then. 16G is hard for me but I manage lol.

So in other words, live a little if you can, or just don't be swayed with the rest of the world's hype.
