Do I need to let my iPhone 5s battery drain for first time?
Got a new 5s & wanna know if it's necessary to drain fully first time. Had a nexus 5 before & it said I don't need to on that phone but here it doesn't say. Does anyone know what Apple officially say about this?

No, you don't need to do anything special for the battery, the days of that are long gone.
If you fully discharge the battery once every few months, that allows the phone to measure the battery capacity so that it can correctly display the percentage available. But even that is not necessary.
Its a good idea to drain battery once a month
Yeah, it's always good to allow a full charge (say 6 hours or so) followed by a complete drain after which continue to use as normal. This should help ensure long life and high charge in your battery.
