Just got an iPhone 5 should i let the battery drain?
Got an iphone 5 couple of hours ago and when i turned it on it was abouit 50%. Its 5% now should i let it drain then charge to 100% apparently i heard thats good to do, not sure?
Let the battery die a couple of times. The battery life last longer that way.
I had read a news about the battery. It said it's good to let it drain once per month. I had try several times and found not thing happen. So I give up this way. Btw, the battery has the most age times. It's about 500 times. So when the battery become 100%, pull up the data line. Hope it can help you

As stated, Apple suggests a full battery cycle about once per month to increase overall performance and life of your battery. This means a full charge, then a completely dead battery and a full charge. Try that every so often and just charge as needed in between. Out of personal experience, this does help a bit. I'll also inform you that when I got my iPhone 5, battery seemed a bit off. But it just needs some time to "break in". Give it a week or so of normal charging and use if you feel it's lacking. Also remember that you can check your battery usage. Tab into Settings, General, Usage. Scroll down a bit and you'll find the time since last charge among other statistics.
