Do people even use laptop computers to access the internet anymore?
Everybody I see now does all their internet browsing, online shopping and booking holidays on touchscreen iphones and smartphones
I'm on a laptop right now, and that's the way I generally access the internet.
I do sometimes - it's a HECK of a lot easier to see and has controllable anti spyware too. Smart phone would get used for things like Trip Advisor etc when out and about, even used it a few times as a Sat Nav when there wasn't real one in the car.
While I check email and look up the occasional elusive fact on my phone, I use my laptop a whole lot more.
Tablets even have a hard time replacing laptops. Small devices lack connection options.
On the rare occasion I go to a local Starbucks, there are at least a couple of people who use their laptops while studying.
I'm sure that more folk use laptop or desktop computers most of the time to do all sorts of work, including accessing the web.
I'm on a desktop and we still use our laptops. Smartphones are great, but they lack power to do real work and it's nice to have a large screen, keyboard and mouse.
I use laptops. I also see people using smart phones, and I also see people using laptops. I noticed more people are using smart phones than laptops outside, but this does not mean that people have stopped using laptops.
I know a lot more than you do about computers, and I know, for a fact that laptops can be used, for other purposes than only, for accessing the internet.
I'm a computer repairman yes people use laptops to access the internet and they do so quite often I find myself constantly having to clean somebody's laptop because they used it to surf the Internet in places that they should not be
Seeing laptops being used is the otherside of the argument and yes of course people do, I'm on one right now. You assumed too much, people use what's convenient at hand to do the task, I would not use smartphones for most Internet tasks, the reason for it is its inability of suitability by design. Laptops are at home, offices, etc. And they are not on hand so they are not convenient, but the question of on handability aside most people would rather access Internet via a laptop.

- Can I track my laptop even when it isn't connected to internet? I have a 2016 MacBook and it was recently stolen, I was wondering if it was possible to track it even if the "thief" wasn't connected to the internet. Plus I don't have any extra anti theft things installed. But it is installed on my cloud so I think I should be able to view it on my iPhone…
