Do usb ports wear out over time? Specifically, this is a pioneer car stereo that is a few years old?
All of a sudden, its not recognizing the usb cable and saying "check usb cable" and no music will play through the cable or iphone will not charge. I tried 2 different new usb cables and same error. I've left the usb cable in the port constantly and only plugged/unplugged the phone. Did the usb port just "go bad" one day or is the system memory messed up? I tried resetting and that did not help. The usb cable and iphone work fine everywhere else.
It CAN go bad but its not common…
it most likely was damaged from pulling the cable while it was plugged in
Yes.
They become loose and the solder inside usually cracks after some time.
- Why does my Direct TV DVR have USB ports? There are two USB ports on my Direct TV DVR. If I plug in with my iPhone, USB, etc, what kinds of things can I do?
- Rear ports in a Pioneer deh-1850 radio? I got this car radio/CD player for free and noticed it has red and white inputs in the back, and i was wondering if i'm able to connect it with a music player (iPod/iPhone) So far i have tried 2 audio cables and they haven't connected with my phone. Do i need a different type of cable?
- Problem with my Pioneer stereo system in my car? I have a Pioneer stereo system in my RAV4.It works great with the radio and with CDs, but when I have my iPhone plugged into the auxiliary input, the sound only comes out of the right side. I have replaced the cable several times so I know my cable isn't the problem. I've also tested other devices, so I know it's not just my phone either. Anyone know what the problem is? Any help is appreciated!
- Pioneer DEH-2400UB car stereo, iphone accessibility? I've been watching some reviews online, and it seems as if everyone is using a specialised cable to plug their iphones or ipods in that isn't the standard one you get from apple, i was wondering if you can jus simply plug the standard one that apple gave you into the stereo and if that will work?
