Does it cost money to use imessage with someone in a different country?
I live in the USA and my friend lives in Canada. She just got an iphone and i have one as well so i was wondering if it would cost extra money to use imessage considering she's in a different country or would i be free of extra charges? I understand that I would be charged extra if it was via text but does the same thing apply for imessage?
Dude just download a free texting app. If you have unlimited data that is or if you just use internet when connected to Wi-Fi
Here are a few
Viber
Tango
Pinger
Those are the ones mainly used i believe
No its completely free, it will only cost you if say your internet goes down for some odd reason and it needs to send as a normal text it may automatically do so (the message will turn green instead of usual blue, imessage also relies on the internet if you didn't know). Go into settings > messages > and turn off 'send as sms" which will prevent your iPhone from sending imessages as texts automatically if say there's ever an internet connectivity problem. You can still contact other people without imessage after turning that off, it only applies to your imessage contacts.
- Is there a problem with texting someone in a different country? So this person and I are both from the US and have American phone numbers. We both have iPhones so it's iMessage. This person is currently in another country on vacation. We're texting now, but I'm worried if any charges will occur
- If iMessage someone in another country, will I get charged? Me and a friend both have iPhones but I live in Canada and she lives in the US and I can't text her because of long distance charges. Right now, I'm using a shitty texting app to text her but from my knowledge i can iMessage her with Wi-Fi. But I'm out a lot and not always connected to my home Wi-Fi but I do have data, but will iMessaging with my data charge me because of my carrier?
- If I text someone out of country for iMessage with an email will it still cost money? If I text a girl from the UK off of her email for iMessage instead of number, would it still cost more money? I have iphone 5s AT&T unlimited text, but if I use someone's email for iMessage instead of number that doesn't live in the US, will it still cost more money
- I was wondering what is Thailand economy like? How does that country make money? And also what are teenagers, young adults into like here in american we're i think too into iphone and reality tv shows
