Engineering Student: Mac or PC?
I'm going to university in September for engineering and I'm wondering what type of laptop should I get? I want something quite thin and weightless with long lasting battery. I was looking at the MacBook Air for $999 and I'm wondering why so many people have it; should I have one too?
I'm very recognizable with PC's and apple products (ipod, iphone, ipad) so I could probably pick up a Mac quite quickly and easily. But what should I get? Macbook Air, Sony VAIO, Asus, Samsung? I would appreciate much knowledge about why or why not to get a Macbook.
So my opinion is MAC. Mac is faster, has better effects etc. And while PC is there its graphics are not as good, is slower etc.
Many programs are not available for Mac which you might need to download while at college. Not many people can afford macs so not many programs are mac. If your going to buy a 1000 dollar laptop go with an acer aspire s5. This has a 6.5 hour battery and its thin. Get some sort of windows ultrabook. They are better than Mac.
As far as battery and thin, nothing will come close to the air, but it just depends what you are looking for.
Get mac and instal boot camp since most of programs aren't compatible with mac
- What's A Student Plan? (Rogers)? I want to get an Iphone 5, I have about 300 dollars, and I saw that at Future Shop they're selling Iphone 5's for 179.99 for the 16gb model. My dad gives me a monthly allowance of 50 dollars, so I'm hoping that this so called student plan can help me out with the monthly expenses. I'm in grade 12 also.
- What's the best camera for a college student? I'm looking for a decent camera under $250 for college. I don't really like using my iPhone as a camera because the pictures aren't great. My main priority is low-light. I don't need a lot of features, just a good camera that takes nice pictures, especially in low-light. Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony Cybershot DSC WX150 (slightly above my price range) or a Canon Powershot 510.
- What mechanical engineering is used in an iPhone? What type of mechanical engineering work is used to create an iPhone? From design, manufacturing, or function?
- Selection of a final year project of computer engineering? I'm a computer engineering final year student. I'm really confused about my final year project. I'm good in programming and i want to do a type of project that has some real worth in market can anyone help me out? I should develop an android app an iPhone or windows 8 app?
