How can i get adopted by a rich family?

I'm 14 years old and i was adopted when i was 2 months old and i really hate these people. I wish these idiots would have never adopted me. They only feed me one meal a day and i have to wait till dinner time to eat sonething! They are also very cheap, they never buy me anything. My birthday is in December and i really want the new iPhone X for my birthday but they are being cheap and they said no. I have a stupid LG phone right now. I also want a new laptop since mine is broken. Is there anyway i can get adopted and see how much money they have? I hate these people. I'm their only child and they are still cheap.

I suggest you read 2 books, 'The Primal Wound', and 'Rich Dad-Poor Dad'.
Everybody else is right, … But just not very sympathetic. Read these books and you will discover why you feel this way and how you just might have a great life because of it.

If you're only being fed once a day, do you have access to food that you can make yourself? If not, then you need to call CPS and report them. Then you'll be taken away from them until they learn how to be better parents.

Isaiah, if this is true and your adoptive parents really are only feeding you one meal a day, that's a problem. Do you have access to food that you can eat or cook yourself? If not, you need to talk to someone you trust and tell them about it. A counselor or a teacher at school is a good choice. School employees are mandated reporters -- they HAVE to report it if they suspect child abuse or neglect. If they don't report it, they can lose their jobs.

As for the phone, it sounds like a reasonable gift when the current plan on your LG phone is up. Just buying the phone could cost $1000, which is a lot of money when you already have a perfectly good phone. How did your laptop break? If it was because you spilled water on it or something, then I don't blame your parents for not replacing it. If it broke because it's old, that's different, especially if you use your laptop for schoolwork.

You can only be adopted again if your current parents give you up or have their parental rights taken away. You'd go to a foster home (or several) first, and because you're a teenager, there aren't many people out there who'd want to adopt you. Most people want babies or very young children.

I bet if your parents knew you feel this way, they'd treat you differently. Have you tried talking to them?
