How can I put my iMovies into a DVD?

Over the past 5 years I've made movies of my family vacations to various places (Florida, California, Las Vegas, etc). Most of the content is on my iPhone. I want to upload it to my MacBook as a backup but seem to be having problems with that. Any reasons why? I try to import through photos app.
Also, I would like to eventually put each of these vacation movies onto their own disc in the near future. How would I go about doing this?

"How can I put my iMovies into a DVD?"

iMovie is an app, not plural. Movies are movies, not "iMovies".

If you own a pre-2012 MacBook white that has built-in DVD burner, the operating system was bundled with iDVD and a version of iMovie that has a button to click to "Send to iDVD".

As to the long "DETAILS" you typed about using the Photos app, that is a second question. To award us 10 points for a Best Answer, ask question number 2 separately, and put "iPhone sync videos" in the title.

The DETAILS also reveal that either this is not a pre-2012 MacBook white that has built-in DVD burner or you have upgraded the operating system. If you did a normal upgrade over the old OS (no erase) for any pre-2012 Mac, you still have iDVD or you can use Pacifist to extract iDVD from the Apple system DVD that shipped with the Mac. If not, try the option at the link below.

  • What is the easiest, fastest way to get AVCHD video onto a standard DVD? Hi and thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I'm about to buy a Sony Cybershot digital camera (HX30) that takes video as AVCHD. Can you recommend idiot proof software that can take the videos off of the camera and burn them to a DVD? I don't care if the picture quality will be SD. I just want it on a DVD +/- R. Also if the software can also convert iPhone videos to DVD as well, that would be great.
  • I'm looking for the best app to store your CD and DVD collection on iPhone? What is the best app to store your CD and DVD collection on iPhone? I've just been looking at a app called My Library what costs £2.49 but I want other peoples opinions who use this sort of app.
  • How will I play my DVD movies if DVD players become obsolete? Most of my movies are on Amazon or iTunes or some digital format but I have some DVDs that I have not been able to find in digital format--Cats, The Three Lives of Thomasina, Fantasia. I have those on DVD and I have a CD/DVD drive in my laptop computer but my next computer won't have the drive so how would play the movies on my computer. Right now I hook up my laptop to a large screen and watch. What happens in the future?
