How old do you think a kid should be before getting an Iphone?

You see so many 6 year old with iphones now days, how old do you think they should be before getting one?

I'd say 12 years old and a flip phone. They can have an iPhone when they can buy it themselves.

12 or 13

The year they reach middle school. Or when they Really need a phone.

Child should be at least 13 (when the brain develops more). It would probably be healthier to wait and the child should be on the phone for no longer than 2-4 hours a day.

The child should be as old as the parents buying the phone wants them to be to have a phone. If 6 is the age, 6 it is, if not until 18, 18 is the age in that household. The opinions of anyone that is not that child's parents, is just that, an opinion.

The same time a child is old enough to have an iPod. You can text from both, and now you can download an app and call another person who has the same app, internationally. If I remember correctly its called What's App. From an emotional standpoint a reliable phone is a life line when we hear about school shootings, rides falling apart at the fair and general everyday mayhem… When we're not with the child every moment of the day. Point being. Look at as safety. A feature with iPhone is a built in app, Find my iPhone, this app tracks where the phone is at all times. The older they get and the further they get out from the nest an iPhone helps with a peaceful mind.

Anywhere from 12 to16 depending on how mature and responsible they are. I don't think 6 year olds should have an expensive phone. When I was in 3rd grade everyone is my grades got there parents to buy them the latest and greatest phones at the time. Most of them lost there phones.

Until they are able to buy it themselves

13.

Back in the 60's when I was a kid, talking on the phone was for girls. We were out riding bikes, having rock fights,
playing sports. Most of today's boys are wussys afraid to get their shoes dirty.
I'd say 16.
Don't kids talk face to face?
