How to fix a water damaged iphone 5? - 1

I took it into the pool with a life proof case and I noticed the screen started to get all watery so i tried to open the charging hole and water poored out. And then i took it out of the pool and i took the case off; i tried to use my phone and everything was fine except half of my screen wasn't letting me touch it to work; and the music was playing fine and all of that. I was gonna go on a walk with my friends so i put the phone case back on and i put my phone in my friends back pack; then i took it out after about and hour and a half and then the flash was on and the screen was black with the apple sign and had white and gray lines. Now i turned it off and put it in a bag of rice; now i don't know what to do. Do smart phones try to fix/reboot themselves?

btw never get a lifeproof case.

  • My iphone speaker will not work after i water damaged it, is there any fix? I accidently spilled orange juice on my iphone and i thought it was fine as it operated after i wiped it off. I noticed later that i could not hear the other person during a phone call. Are there any fixes to this or do i have to buy another phone out right?

  • Hhomework to fix my water damaged iphone? SO 4 months ago, i dropped my iphone into the sink and didn't really decide to fix it because i didn't have the time. I just bought iPhone 5. Now i want to restore it so i could give it to my son. ITs been 4 months now and i have not turned it on since (it doesn't turn on either). Will the rice method still work? Btw, you can't go to the aple store with a damaged iphone… They don't cover it
