How to fix a water damaged iphone?
A few hours ago i dropped my iphone 4s into my drink, don't ask me how but when i took it out the screen seemed to be fine but the speakers werent. When i would go to my music it didn't have the option to change the volume setting, it was no longer there. The keyboard noise no longer was there and when my ringtone went off it was only vibration. So i waited and now its kind of in and out. Its been making a buzzing noise from the dock connector it seems like. I tried to blow in it or clean it but it still remains. Is there any way i can fix it without repurchasing a new phone?
Put your phone in a pot of DRY rice. Leave it there for about an hour. It should be all good after that!
Try the old bowl of uncooked rice trick.
Get a ziploc bag, fill it with rice, put phone in ziploc bag, wait a couple days to a week and it should be good. Rice absorbs the moisture.
1. Remove your iPhone from the water quickly. Turn the phone off to prevent a short circuit inside the phone. Press the button on the top edge of the phone to turn the phone off.
2. Try to absorb as much of the water as possible with a towel.
3. Take your iPhone to an Apple Store or your cellphone provider's store and ask someone to remove the back of the iPhone and remove the battery and SIM card. Removing the battery will help prevent a short circuit. Removing the battery and SIM card by yourself could cause extra damage to the iPhone because doing so is not as simple as removing the battery in an ordinary cellphone. Taking the back off the phone will also help the inside dry better.
4. Use an ear swab to absorb drops of water around and inside the phone where a towel can't reach.
5. Fill a plastic bag full of rice and put your iPhone inside the rice. Place the bag in a warm, dry area for one full day. The rice helps remove moisture from the phone.

I noticed later that i could not hear the other person during a phone call. Are there any fixes to this or do i have to buy another phone out right?
- My iphone 5 has been water damaged how do I fix it? I dropped my phone in some water 2 nights ago, so as suggested by everyone I placed it in the box of rice. However I was in a state of panic and tried to switch the phone on. It is now stuck on a solid red screen and won't turn off. How do I fix this? I would also rather not have to take it apart in order to fix it
- Is it possible to fix a water damaged iPhone? So I dropped my iPhone 4S in the toilet and now it won't turn on. I was wondering, will I able to get it fixed and still be able to keep my photos and text messages? I got a new iPhone, but the backup didn't work out because it didn't keep any of my new photos or text messages before I dropped it in the toilet. So I was wondering, if I get my water damaged iPhone fixed will I still have the pictures and the text messages?
