How to fix a Water Damaged Laptop OR Get a Free Laptop?

First off, I'm a minor. I can't get a job, yet. So I accidentally spilt water over the bottom half of my keyboard. I immediately shut it down, and unplugged it from everything. Then I quickly dried as much water as I could. I then tilted my laptop and tried to get as much water out as I could. I then tried to turn my laptop back on and it lit up but never actually turned on. I then took out the battery and put the laptop on a towel upside down. About 2-3 hours later I used a blow drier to get any excess water out, but it did nothing. I put it back upside down and left it overnight. My laptop won't power on at all with or without the battery. It's currently upside down once again. My family is poor and we have no money to buy a laptop, even on Christmas or my b-Day. By law, I can't get a job until next year. I need a laptop or computer, now. It's more important then you think. I'm going to be homeschooled this year, through k12. I've been having panic attacks all day and I can't find any programs that would get me a laptop soon. I need it by the end of this week. We can't afford to get it repaired. I'd have to do it alone. I only have 5 dollars. A five dollar bill. I would sell my iphone to get 200, but my mom won't let me. Please, if there's anything I can do please help me.

In some states they will send you a computer to use if your family is eligible for free and reduced lunch. You may want to look into that!

Here's your mistake. You can't do this quickly. Wait. Patience. Stick the laptop in a plastic bag with some rice. If you're lucky, it'll turn back on after it's thoroughly dried.

Well there's a couple things you can do.
1. Check your warranty on it.
2. Check with your insurance on it, My laptop hinge broke right off, contacted my insurance and they sent me a 600$ check in the mail within a couple days.
Thats really all that things you can do since you don't have much money.

If it's under warranty or if you still have insurance on it, then it might be covered. If not, then save for a new computer. Since you need a laptop soon, I would suggest going to your public library or borrowing your parents' computer. Also, you can get a job as soon as you hit 14.
