How to fix an cover up a rust spot on my car?
I just bought an 88 Mustang GT that is in need of paint but I'm going to wait until the spring to have it painted however there's some areas that need to be covered up until then. There's a spot on the hatch that is about the size of an iphone and it is not deep but it is a little worse than just surface rust. Body work is not my thing, I'm all mechanical so I'm wanting to do this myself and was just wondering what to use if I can just sand it down and what grits I need etc. I did buy a can of POR-15 to cover it up when I'm done. Any tips is greatly appreciated.
You can type in your question on you tube and ask for a video on how to do this and you can watch a step by step video on how to do it, it will help you and save so much time it is pretty awesome try it.,…
You could use "Rustolium Rust Reformer". Loose rust can be cleaned with fine Steel Wool or Rust Remover. POR-15 is a good product however loose rust can create an adhesion problem and if there's excess rust, than removing the rust will leave missing metal, so some people just carefully build up on top of the rust, first with the sealer and then followed with Bondo, but that's not a permanent repair. It's better to remove all loose rust and only leave behind the rust that is well adhered to the metal and treat it. Best thing to do is to chemically remove all the rust completely and then clean it further with steel wool, and then apply a coat of rust inhibiting primer, followed with the final matching paint color.
Just leave it until the spring, then fix it right. Anything you do now, unless you grind out the rust complete, is a waste of your time, and money. Unless rust is completely removed, it will return in short order. It will not get any worse by spring.
- Will car insurance cover stolen good, while it was under their care? I had an accident, State Farm towed it to some salvage yard, got it back, camera, registration, spare tire, iPhone charger, battery pack, limited edition pocket knife all gone! Change jar cleaned out, and EZ pass used. I called State Farm, and they are closed. I'm so vexed right now.
- What is the best speaker for a car? And MP3/CD Deck for a car? Eventually when I get my main car, I want to get great speakers for my car. I know BestBuy sells most of the speakers for cars. But i'm wondering what good speakers for cars are. Not the brand but what the Best Features are for car speakers. I would also need to get a iPod/iPhone-Ready CD Deck, so I also need to know good brands and features for that.

Since the iPhone battery doesn't usually last long, i was wondering if there's another way to charge my phone without a car charger. Because my lighter doesn't work due to a broke fuse in my fuse box… Anyway- is there any alternative to keeping my phone charged?
