How to fix my water damaged iphone 4 speakers?

For all of the years I have owned a phone, I have never dropped it in water until today. When it happened, I immediately took it out. I took it out of the case, dried, and checked it. It didn't seem to wet and I tested it out, everything seemed to work until I attempted to make a call. I couldnt hear a thing, I tried it on speaker phone, and only a faint sound came out. When I tried to play music, no music came out either, or notification sound, etc. Despite the varying opinions, I put the phone in rice. After two hours, I checked it and there was no improvement. I looked online for some help, and found the q-tip advice, After trying a couple of times of cleaning the headphone jack, the bottom speakers were working. When, I made a call, and put it on speakerphone, sound came out. However, when I tried to play music or answer a call without speakerphone, there was still no sound from the received. But, I was able to hear it when the phone rang. However, I still can't get sound notifications. I don't know what else to do.

Added (1). Now, after just waiting and messing around with it, I can now use the headphones to hear music. But, when I try to put the sound up or down when the headphones are not connected, it will still say they are. I'm thinking this is why I can't hear sound through the top speaker when I'm on calls.

Moisture inside is damaging the board and circuits. Cut it off. Do this and be patient. It could take days. Best luck.
