How to Fix Water Damaged iPhone 5?

A little over a day ago a glass of water fell on my iPhone 5. I was sleeping when it happened so i don't really know how long it was sitting for. We put it in rice right away and when my parents got home we detached the front and left it out to dry, (later did i find out that that wasn't a good idea). This morning we put it back together and it still didn't work. We placed my phone in rice all day and when I got home from school it didn't work. Is my iPhone 5 past saving? Any ideas on how to fix it? All suggestions are greatly appreciated!

The rice trick doesn't work on iphones.
sell it for parts, it will neve be the same again.

Don't worry my friend got the same trouble. He brought it to apple and then he got the new one. He didn't pay any dime for it.

  • My iphone speaker will not work after i water damaged it, is there any fix? I accidently spilled orange juice on my iphone and i thought it was fine as it operated after i wiped it off. I noticed later that i could not hear the other person during a phone call. Are there any fixes to this or do i have to buy another phone out right?
  • My iphone 5 has been water damaged how do I fix it? I dropped my phone in some water 2 nights ago, so as suggested by everyone I placed it in the box of rice. However I was in a state of panic and tried to switch the phone on. It is now stuck on a solid red screen and won't turn off. How do I fix this? I would also rather not have to take it apart in order to fix it
  • Is it possible to fix a water damaged iPhone? So I dropped my iPhone 4S in the toilet and now it won't turn on. I was wondering, will I able to get it fixed and still be able to keep my photos and text messages? I got a new iPhone, but the backup didn't work out because it didn't keep any of my new photos or text messages before I dropped it in the toilet. So I was wondering, if I get my water damaged iPhone fixed will I still have the pictures and the text messages?
  • Hhomework to fix my water damaged iphone? SO 4 months ago, i dropped my iphone into the sink and didn't really decide to fix it because i didn't have the time. I just bought iPhone 5. Now i want to restore it so i could give it to my son. ITs been 4 months now and i have not turned it on since (it doesn't turn on either). Will the rice method still work? Btw, you can't go to the aple store with a damaged iphone… They don't cover it
