How to get 4G on the iPhone 5? - 1
I have a sim only deal that ends in June 2013 and it says 3G on my phone, I just want to know how to get 4G because thats the main reason I got the iPhone 5
You have to be in a 4g coverage area. Check your carriers coverage map and see if you are in one.
Verizon and AT&T are the 2 biggest 4G networks, with T-mobile and Sprint lighting up new cities just recently.
if you are pre-paid, they are usually using one of the 4 companies towers. Find out which ones, and check their coverage.
also, 4G is available on pretty much all phones these days. Its not just limited to the iPhone.
4G depends on the carrier. If they have that coverage in your area then you would get it. If not, then no.
Also it could be that, the advertised 4G is actually HSPA+ in which case the iPhone still will say 3G.
If you are in the UK then the only operator with a 4G network is Everything Everywhere (EE) which owns both the Orange and T-Mobile brands. So you will need to buy an EE SIM-only bundle from a T-Mobile or Orange shop. Because 4G offers fast data speeds I would go for the most expensive bundle you can afford because you will very quickly use up the smaller 500MB and 1GB data bundles.
I would also check:
- that you have an iPhone 5 Model A1429 (GSM model) which supports the frequency used by EE.
- EE's coverage map to ensure that there's a 4G signal where you will want to use 4G

- Should I get rid of my iPhone and get a basic phone? I've had an iPhone for 2 years, and my contract runs out 9/2/12, should I get a 4s or a Pantech Jest 2? I want to save my dad money, and all I really use my iPhone for is music and Facebook. My friends say I should stick with my iPhone, but I don't know… Share your input, thanks
- Should I get my iPhone 4 fixed or get the iPhone 5? I've had my iPhone 4 for a year now, and the iPhone 5 just came out. My iPhone 4 home button doesn't work sometimes and its really annoying and frustrating. It also has a huge crack on the back. I heard that it's really expensive to get it fixed so i was wondering if i should just get an iPhone 5, or just get my current iPhone fixed.
- Should I get my iPhone 3GS fixed or get iphone 4S? Its going to cost me £119 to get my iPhone 3GS fixed, is it worth it or should I get the 4S on contract?
