How to know if there's an unactivated sim card in my iphone 3gs?
I want to update this iphone that has no service, and I found on some sites that as long as there's a SIM card, whether activated or unactivated, I could update it. But how do I know if there's one without taking it out? If I have to take it out, is there some kind of penalty for it?
There's no penalty for taking the SIM card out. So go ahead and check if there's a SIM card by taking it out.
- Use iPhone 5c as iPod with UNACTIVATED SIM card WITHOUT computer? So my UNACTIVATED SIM card just came in the mail and I didn't realize that my PC graphics card is dead, so I can't access iTunes and I would like to know if there's a way for me to use my iPhone 5c as an iPod with an inactive SIM card. Currently, my iPhone 5c is at the setup screen and I can't get past it with my inactive SIM card.

- I have a IPhone 5 new unactivated, will any nano sim work in it from the start. UK? I'm on contract with Orange and have received my free upgrade IPhone 5 new in sealed box. Does this mean the phone is locked to Orange. I have heard that if i use another service providers sim to activate it, that network will also work. Any advise appreciated.UK only.
- Changing from normal sim card to iPhone 4 sim card? I'm an AT&T customer with a smart phone. I'm wanting to buy an iPhone 4 but I know they take smaller sim cards than normal phones. If I buy an iPhone from an individual, can I take it to AT&T and have them give me a smaller sim card & transfer my information? Would I have to pay extra for it? Is it even possible?
