How to prevent texting while driving on Iphone?

Teen daughter, a texting fanatic, is getting her license soon. She says she won't text and drive but while out driving with her yesterday for her experience a couple times when we stopped (drive through coffee) she would grab her phone. My guess is the first day she is out by herself after getting her license she is going to text all her friends saying she got it… All while cruising down the road!
Her phone is an Iphone 5 and the carrier is Verizon Wireless. I'm wondering if there's a device or app that I can get her set up with to prevent all texting/phone calling while she is behind the wheel.AT&T has an app but that only kicks in at 25mph, so i guess the trees are softer when you're only going 24mph. There are apps but most are for all by Iphones. I'm looking for something that will prevent any texting or phone calls while she is driving at any speed. Telling her don't do it, as we all know, isn't going to work at all.
thanks

Added (1). I appreciate all the responses, i do. But being realistic in today's world she wouldn't be leaving without a phone. Your kid wouldn't either. She'll drive to school, without a phone, she'll go to a friends house for the night, without a phone? Be realistic folks. Spine has nothing to do with it, it is what is real. You drive to work each day, you leave your phone home? You go out for the evening, you leave your phone home? No. Don't expect them to either. That is why i asked if there were a device that would prevent phone activity while in motion. If i wanted to be a jerk father i wouldn't let her drive!

Two foolproof ways. Take the car away. Take the phone away.

Throw the iphone away. Have some SPINE.

Lock it in the trunk while driving!

First of all, if you have a solution that works above 25 mph, I would not dismiss that too quickly. I personally spend less than 1% of my driving time below 25 mph, so I think that would give you a great deal of the protection you are looking for. She will be basically be restricted to texting at red lights, which is not perfect, but better than texting while cruising at speed.

You would have more options on a Android phone to do this. There's an iPhone app called "Canary - Teen Safety" that will keep you notified if there's texting while driving, as well as speeding and some other things. There's a subscription fee.

Otherwise, you could have her leave the phone at home if she goes off in the car.

If you give her both of those options, she will probably be happier with the result than if you just pick one and force it on her.

Good luck and good for you for being a responsible parent.

You need a device like this that blocks the phone and text part if you are driving

i was told this don't work with iPhome but that was 3 years ago,
i was also told that you need 1 other aplication to make it work, you have to do your own research

Give her the choice, the phone or drive. If she picks to drive, you keep the phone. Don't be her FRIEND, be her PARENT. Show who is BOSS and show that you have SPINE!

You are the parent. She is your daughter. There's something very simple that will definitely prevent her from texting or calling at any speed, take away the phone. Tell her she can have either her phone to text, or she can have the keys and drive the car, but she can't have both at the same time. If she says something like "what if there's an emergency on the road and I need to call 911?" tell her to research phones that are programmed to only call 911, they do exist and I think might be free.

Better to keep your phone at fligt.
