How to unlock an iPhone 3GS w/ iOS6?

I need to bring it w/ me to my trip overseas. The phone is currently AT&T locked and not jailbroken.

You can jailbreak the phone with evasi0n, but you'll need to go through AT&T for the unlocking part.
