I just bought a new but not sealed iphone 4 on e-bay and need some unlocking advice?
It is locked to Vodafone but I'm currently with Virgin and would like to stay with them.
Apple said I should go to Vodafone but Vodafone said they can't unlock it because I didn't get the phone through them so I took the phone to a local shop who quoted me £60 to unlock it - I thought it would be nearer to £20! They also said that it needs to be activated and implied that this is not something that can easily be done so I paid £10 for them to do that for me. Was this something that I could have EASILY done myself? Do you suggest I just change to Vodafone or is there a cheaper way to unlock the phone?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!

You won't find it cheaper. And unlolcked it still won't work on VM
It would have been much cheaper if you just got an unlocked iphone… On the other hand, email me at stefan_zxcvb@live.com and i can fix you up with a cheaper unlock than that
- Stolen iPhone 6 brand new sealed? So my neighbor bought a brand new sealed iPhone 6 (virgin mobile). It was delivered to his address but it was stolen before he had a chance to receive it. Is their anyway he can track the iPhone when someone activates it? Or any chances of recover it?
