I want to be a history teacher?

I love history and I'm passionate towards it but I've heard they are underpaid and that they have low salaries, it's not all about the money but I want to be able to support and family and live comfortably, a nice house enough for a family of four and a nice car not a sports car. I want to be able to buy my children nice things like the new tech (I.e the iPhone) however if a teaching job won't cut it then I'll look into a field that's better

As a history teacher, your best bet at making decent money is by becoming a professor. Similar fields you might be interested in are: political science, economics, or accounting.
