Import duty/vat on item bought from a UK company dispatching from US?
I bought an iPhone 5s from a VAT registered company in the UK and they charged me VAT but the iPhone is being dispatched from the US to my home address. Would I pay additional fees when it arrives in the UK through customs?

There could be duty and handling charge to pay. They will bill you before releasing parcel if it is stopped and assessed. Not all parcels do get charged but it is possible it will.
You will have to pay import duty and collection fee as well as VAT, and when it goes wrong you will wish you had not of bothered. (it will be marked as an import)

VAT is only payable once. As long as you have evidence that you paid VAT, you will be OK

- Return item bought off of EBay? I bought a keyboard attachment for my iPhone a few months ago. I received it and wasn't satisfied, so I returned it with proper postage and such to the return address which was in China. It has been about 2 months, and I have not received my refund nor have I gotten an email from the seller saying that they have received the item. Is there some way I can figure out where that package is? And if I can't find it, am I still able to get my refund?
