IPhone 4S water damage
Being the plonker i'm, i dropped my phone down the loo, it was fully emerged. I took it out straight away, tried to remove all the water with a towel, also removing my case.once i done this, i looked at it and striped and colours flashed across the screen and that was it! I'm pretty sure i turnt it off properly holding the home and lock buttons together but the flash keeps on turning on and off: L it is so strange! I then, after finding out an hour later, put my phone in a bowl of uncooked rice and left overnight. Its been in the rice for about 12 hours now and i haven't tried to turn it on or charge it at all.
if anyone knows if i done anything wrong, any tips, or help that doesn't involve an expensive trip to the phone shop would be amazing! I also tried looked for the pink water damage sensor thing so any tips on that would be great thanks: L i really don't know what to do next!
If I were you, I would contact the phone store you brought it from. They could probably help you.
I would suggest leaving it there for the next few days, don't take it out, don't try and turn it on… Also, if you leave it by a window or somewhere where the sun will sort of help to dry it out.
- Will my iPhone still work after water damage? It fell into a bucket of water last night and I can't turn the phone off because the screen is black. I can hear the phone ringing and vibrating, but can't see anything. I put it in a bowl of rice, is this fixable? Will the screen eventually work?
- Sprint warranty for water damage on iphone 4s? Recently, my brand new iphone 4s fell on my sink, the problem with it is that there are grey spots and blue spots on my screen. Do you know if there's a warranty on my phone, i remember the worker told me that it did not cover loss but i don't remember after that
- My iPhone 4 suffered heavy water damage, will it be okay? I went in the pool with it not realizing it was in my pocket. I was in the pool for about 5-10 minutes before I realized it was in my pocket. It was on when I went in the pool but was off when I got out. I now have it sitting in a bowl of rice and I plan on leaving it in there for a week, changing the rice it's in every 24 hours. Does anyone have any insight on this, like if there's any hope of it being okay or is it done for?
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
