IPhone 5 jailbreak battery drain issue?

So I jailbroke my iPhone 5 (Version 7.1.2) with Pangu about a month and a half ago and since then my battery has been getting used up alot faster and I don't really know why. I have a few Winterboard themes but I've disabled them all besides a dialer and keypad and I don't believe I have any apps that run in the background. So why is my battery draining so quickly to the point that 4 hours of usage only on Wi-Fi and 30% brightness drains it completely? I couldn't find an answer anywhere online

Because you're using your battery. Yes, jailbreaking does cause some extra battery usage, however, it's not entirely the jailbreaks fault. Usuing Wi-Fi and running apps that stay open after your close them is a great way to really drain your battery. So, it's probably not just the jailbreak data because usually once It loads the things like themes and custom messages, it's no longer running those tweaks because they're embedded in the springboard already. So it's probably the extensive Wi-Fi use and running apps without force closing them.

  • Why does my iPhone battery drain so quick? I took my phone off the charger at about 9:30am, it's now 10:01am and it was on 100%, I hardly used it, I only went on Facebook to check the newsfeed and reply to an inbox and now it's on 87%? I was watching it go down and it goes down 1% roughly every 2 minutes. It's been happening for about a week now and I'm lucky if my phone lasts me half a day. What can I do (WITHOUT BUYING A NEW PHONE)
