IPhone 5 not connecting to MacBook Air?
I just got my iPhone 5 a few days ago and wanted to sync my iTunes music to it. When I tried to connect it, though, it acted as though nothing was plugged in. Finally, once I tried it later on in a separate location, my iPhone seemed to connect to the computer and was charging, but my MacBook still wasn't recognizing it, or acknowledging the fact that I plugged anything in. Nothing was popping up under devices in iTunes either. I'm really frustrated because that was one of the main reasons that I wanted the phone-- for the music. I have all of my playlists set up on iTunes, but it just won't recognize the stupid phone. I've been connecting it in the USB port with the cord that I use as a charger… Maybe I'm using the wrong cord? I don't see what else I could use for this. Can anybody help me?
Added (1). I have the most updated version of iTunes.
You will likely need to update your iTunes to at least version 10.7 in order for your new phone to connect and sync correctly in iTunes.
- Wi-Fi not connecting to MacBook Pro but is connected to iPhone 4S? My MacBook Pro 10.8.5 I just got it last year isn't connecting to the Wi-Fi. My phone is connected though. I'm a college student so I'm connected to the schools Wi-Fi and no one else that I've spoken to has this problem. Anyone have any suggestions?
- Should I get a MacBook Air or an iPhone 5S/5C? I got enough money to buy an iPhone for my birthday, but my mothers says that if I save my money until Christmas, I can get a MacBook Air. My phone is an old samsung galaxy ace, and it has all sorts of problems. It has very limited space and a very short battery life, and is super slow. My family's PC is slow, and is running out of space. I need that space for documents, and to be able to synch my iPad with iTunes. This is a really tough decision, please help!
- Should I buy the iPhone 5 or Macbook Air? So I'm saving to get one of them but I'm not sure which one! I already have a phone but it's the Nokia C3-00 so it's quite old and I've had it for about 2 1/2 years now. I don't have my own laptop but I share one with my mum and I can use it after school only and I can't take it to school because she uses it for work. (The laptop is an HP laptop not an Apple product.) I also have an iPad Mini.
- Is the $999 2012 11 Macbook Air good enough for iphone game/app development? I want to make games and apps for iphone and ipod touch so bad but not sure if the specs of the 11" 2012 mba are good enough seeing that the processor is at 1.7 ghz. I plan on upgrading the ram when i buy it to 8gb. Will this mac be good enough to develop games and app for iphone and ipod touch smoothly?
