Iphone 5s does not charge fully

I've had problems with my iphone 5s, when i charge it its fine until 90 then it increases very slow and takes a long time and when it reaches 98% it gets stuck there and doesn't increase for hours. But when i unplug and plug it back in it turns 100% immediately.
And the battery drains much faster than expected. Its running ios 7.0.4 and i've had this problem with the previous versions as well.
Any ideas what's wrong?

Let the battery run down completely, then recharge the phone completely. This allows the software on the phone to measure the battery's capacity and recalibrate the indications of charge level on the screen so that you can really see how much is left.

A full charged iPhone 5S should last for 8-12 hours of "average" use, but it depends a great deal on exactly how you are using it and on your configuration settings.

Unfortunately I plugged in my phones to my laptop to restore backup then the phone charged until 40% and i unplugged it. After the battery drop to 20% and I fully charged it. Is it going to affect anything?
