Iphone 5s water damage

My screen is a little discolored, but I'm okay with that. I've soaked it in rice (this happened about 24 hours ago)
I had service, but now I only have no service but occasionally get service. (weird sentence, my bad)
The power button stopped working as well, but it started working again.
I have tmobile and have been with them for over 10+ years, I was wondering if they could replace it or what my options are?

Depends. Was the phone financed, or did you buy it outright?

Options are to buy another one, unless you are approved for a replacement with contract renewal.

Unless you have some sort of accidental damage plan, they aren't are going to replace it for free, and water damage is usually not cost effective to repair as several components are likely damaged. If you've had the phone for a while (2 years) then you can probably upgrade to a new phone for a discounted price. But if this phone is fairly new, you'd probably have to buy a new or refurb phone at full price.

Alternatively you could just live with it and see if it gets any better as it dries.

  • Will my iPhone still work after water damage? It fell into a bucket of water last night and I can't turn the phone off because the screen is black. I can hear the phone ringing and vibrating, but can't see anything. I put it in a bowl of rice, is this fixable? Will the screen eventually work?
  • Sprint warranty for water damage on iphone 4s? Recently, my brand new iphone 4s fell on my sink, the problem with it is that there are grey spots and blue spots on my screen. Do you know if there's a warranty on my phone, i remember the worker told me that it did not cover loss but i don't remember after that
  • My iPhone 4 suffered heavy water damage, will it be okay? I went in the pool with it not realizing it was in my pocket. I was in the pool for about 5-10 minutes before I realized it was in my pocket. It was on when I went in the pool but was off when I got out. I now have it sitting in a bowl of rice and I plan on leaving it in there for a week, changing the rice it's in every 24 hours. Does anyone have any insight on this, like if there's any hope of it being okay or is it done for?
  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
