IPhone 6s Water Damage?

So basically my phone fell in the toilet for literally 3 seconds. I pulled it out, took off the case, dried it off, and put it in rice. I later read to turn it off so I got it and turned it off. Before then it was acting kind of glitchy. I turned it on about 30 minutes later and the glitch was gone. I was on it for about 10 minutes when lines appeared and it went black. I put it back in the rice but I do not know if it is turned off… Suggestions?

Yeah, you might have ruined it. You're supposed to turn off the phone immediately and leave it to dry for 24 hours.

Get a new one.

Minimum time in the rice should be one week (168 hours).

Even that does not always work.

  • Will my iPhone still work after water damage? It fell into a bucket of water last night and I can't turn the phone off because the screen is black. I can hear the phone ringing and vibrating, but can't see anything. I put it in a bowl of rice, is this fixable? Will the screen eventually work?

Do you know if there's a warranty on my phone, i remember the worker told me that it did not cover loss but i don't remember after that
  • My iPhone 4 suffered heavy water damage, will it be okay? I went in the pool with it not realizing it was in my pocket. I was in the pool for about 5-10 minutes before I realized it was in my pocket. It was on when I went in the pool but was off when I got out. I now have it sitting in a bowl of rice and I plan on leaving it in there for a week, changing the rice it's in every 24 hours. Does anyone have any insight on this, like if there's any hope of it being okay or is it done for?
  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
