IPhone still in rice not working?

So… When my iPhone fell in water I put it in rice for 48 hours… And it's still not working I think it's because I tried to turn it on after it fell in water… Can it still be fixed I just took it out of the rice and put it under the cable because it's hot there. Can it be fixed? Any other ideas?

Your iPhone is gone. If it can be fixed its not worth it. Youll have reoccurring problems with it. If you have a warranty on it go to your provide and get a new one. If you don't, sell it for parts and buy a new one.

There's no telling how much was damaged. It could be just the battery, or it can include all the mother board, LCD, camera, speakers vibrate mechanism and etc, and changing the guts of the iPhone. Might as well buy a new one. It's too much trouble. If you are very hopeful, get only the battery changed and see if everything works, otherwise get a whole new phone

  • Will the rice trick for a wet iphone still work if its on? The light for the camera is still on. Will the rice trick still work? I left it in rice just in case. Please ANSWER
  • Will the dry rice method still work for an iphone if it has been switched on? I dropped my phone in water and immediately took it out, dried it and turned it on to see if it worked. The phone worked but there was no sound so i googled what to do and i found the dry rice method but it said that you shouldn't turn on your phone but i did (maybe for ten mins?) so i turned it off and put it in a bag full of rice. Will the sound go back to normal because i turned on my phone? Should i put in the bag of rice with the back removed and battery exposed then?
  • Rice not helping wet iPhone? I had my iPhone3GS connected to a car charger, and it fell into the cooler full of water without me noticing. It could have been in there for at least 5-15min. I got home and put the phone into a bowl of rice. It had been flickering with light, but now there's no light): it won't turn on and I don't think the rice is helping. I don't have a license so I can't go get alcohol to put it in): please give me other ideas): thank you)
  • I put my iPhone in rice after water damage but it's still overheating? My iPhone 4 was only submerged in the water for a matter of seconds, but I dried it up as much as I could and then took it home and put it in a bag of dry rice for 3 days. I then turned it on and put it on charge, but it'll only charge up to 11% before overheating. If I put the phone back in the bag of rice for another couple of days do you think this issue will be solved?
