IPhone vs other smart phones?
BESIDES THE ORIGINAL COST OF THE IPHONE WHEN BUYING IT, how is the monthly cost of an iPhone any different than the monthly cost of any other smart phone like an android or the galaxy 3S? Cuz so many people are saying iPhones are extremely expensive, and I know the original cost of just buying the iPhone is more expensive than other smart phones, but besides that how is the cost any different from other smart phones?
Both iphones and android phones may be expensive, but you certainly get more for your money with android phones in terms of specifications.
take the samsung galaxy S3 for example, and compare it with the iphone 5.
the samsung galaxy S3 tends to be around the same price as the iphone, but instead has:
- a bigger screen.
- a bigger screen resolution.
- a faster processor.
- more RAM.
- a less restricted OS.
- supports more file types.
- support for all file types to be saved to the phone without it saying "no you can't save this."
- structured folder browsing.
- more customisability (if that's even a word)…
- you don't have to do everything through itunes.
plus you're not a hipster for buying one.people who buy iphones nowadays are basically just buying it because it has an apple logo on it, and apparently that makes it "better". But thats not true at all.
Same monthly cost usually for data, but, the insurance costs more for an iphone, also the deductable is higher to get it replaced. Also apps tend to be more expensive on iphone as well.

The monthly cost is the same. It all depends on the carrier. Get the Galaxy S3, I've owned both iPhone and S3 and the S3 is a lot better.
- Why is the iphone so much better than other smart phones? I'm not trying to start a fight here. It just seems like Apple has access to alien technology or something. I've been trying to help my dad with his Samsung stratosphere and the difference is staggering. Another thing worth noting is that any of my friends who have non iphone smart phones also carry their ipod touches around with them. That says something.
- Why do so many kids have iphones, blackberrys, and smart phones? I mean little kids as young as 5 years old. It really does annoy me because they are little and don't need a really expensive phone just for emergencies. I always see them on the phones and ipods. My brother is almost in middle school and has the cheapest phone. And i'm in highschool and my phone is nowhere near the expesive phones the elementary kids have infact my phone is used so i got for free.

My gramma just got an iPhone and has no idea how to use it and I have to teach her how but I have a smart phone and I kept on looking for buttons that aren't there and on smartphones it is simple to set your ringtone but I have no idea how to on an iPhone my gramma wants Eric church for her ringtone and I have no idea how to do that and she wants a new message tone too! Someone please help me
